Three Peabody Awards (called the Pulitzer Prize of TV) 

and a journalism fellowship to Harvard.

But his favorite interviews are family including his adopted Mom and Dad, his birth mother, his bio sister and multiple aunts and uncles who have all since passed. Those films inspired him to found Voice Locket! 

 

Stuart and his great love Lorraine met at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. The couple have four grown kids of their own who all went to UNC schools. They make their home in Charlotte, NC. 

 

Stuart dropped out of Vanderbilt twice and only graduated because Lorraine said she wouldn’t marry him unless he did! He was recently named to the Vanderbilt University Student Media Hall of Fame.

 

Stuart is the author of two books, a memoir, WHAT SHE SAID & WHAT I HEARD, and a children’s book, SOFIA LOVES TORTILLAS.
